March 20, 2008 - The Fontbonne University baseball team returned from their Spring Break trip to Port Charlotte, Florida with a record of 2-5 as they now prepare to head to St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

After dropping their 2008 opener to NCAA Division I opponent St. Louis University, the Griffins dropped their first four games in Florida. Fontbonne regrouped to record wins over Fairleigh Dickinson University and Worchester State to end their trip.

Fontbonne opens SLIAC play this weekend as weather conditions have forced the Griffins to change their schedule. Fontbonne will travel to Jacksonville, Illinois to play MacMurray College on Friday for a doubleheader and then host the Highlanders on Saturday at Shaw Park in Clayton at 5:00 pm.
