March 3, 2008 - The Fontbonne University men's basketball team will play the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor on Friday (March 6) in the first round of the NCAA Division III National Basketball Tournament. The game will be played at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.

This is the second straight trip to the NCAA Torunament for Fontbonne (21-6). The Griffins received an automatic bid to the tournament by winning the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Post-Season Tournament. Mary-Hardin (25-3) is also advancing to the tournament for the second straight year. Mary-Hardin (located in Belton, Texas) won the American Southwest Conference Men's Basketball Championship. Mary-Hardin ranked #14 in the latest D3hoops poll.

The winner of the Fontbonne-Mary-Hardin game will play the winner of the Millsaps-Maryville (Tenn.) game on Saturday.
