The Fontbonne University men’s soccer team saw its five-game winning streak come to end last night at the hands of Washington University. The Griffins fell to the #11-ranked Bears 4-0.

Washington University scored two goals in a span of nine minutes to earn a 2-0 led heading into halftime. The Bears added two more tallies in the second half and out shot Fontbonne 11-6 in the game. The Griffins earned 6-5 edge in corner kicks during the contest. Fontbonne fell to 5-3-4 overall while Washington University improved to 8-2.

Fontbonne returns to the pitch Saturday night when they play Webster University at 7:30 pm at the Anheuser Busch Center in Fenton.
