The Fontbonne University men’s soccer team improved to 2-0 in conference play and 2-2-4 overall with a 2-1 win over Maryville University last night.

Fontbonne jumped ahead in the first half with a goal by senior Don Tebeau. Maryville evened the scored midway through the second half and then Fontbonne sophomore Kevin Vonarx put the Griffins ahead for good with 8 second to go in the game. Fontbonne sophomore Jesse Cook recorded both assists for the Griffins.

Fontbonne returns to actions Saturday when they host Eureka College at 3:00 p.m. at Gay Field in Clayton.
