The Fontbonne University men’s soccer team suffered their first conference loss last night in overtime to Principia College in Elsah, Illinois.

Principia scored the game’s lone goal in the 98^th minute on a head ball off a free kick. The victory kept Principia undefeated in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) play at 7-0 and Fontbonne dropped to 6-1 in SLIAC action.

Fontbonne returns to the pitch Saturday when they travel to Lincoln Christian College for a 1:00 p.m. game. The Griffins next home game is Sunday against Birmingham Southern at 1:00 p.m. at Gay Field. Sunday’s game is also Parent’s Day.
