Despite their season coming to an end over the weekend, the Fontbonne University softball team is picking up several awards.

            Fontbonne lost twice to Maryville University in the SLIAC Post-Season Tournament over the weekend to conclude their season. Fontbonne ended the season with an 18-14 overall record and a 12-4 conference record. The Griffins finished the season in second place in the SLIAC.

            After the tournament, seniors Lauren Austin and Jenny Vasquez were named to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team. Austin also earned SLIAC Honorable Mention All-Conference honors. Seniors Kate Evers and Kristin Lommel and junior Allison Wagner were selected to the SLIAC First-Team All-Conference while junior Liz Seely was named to Honorable Mention All-Conference Team.
