Fontbonne University is a Catholic coeducational institution of higher education offering liberal arts and professional programs in a values-based, student-centered environment. Some 2,000 students annually take advantage of the university's high-quality academic programs and wonderful campus environment. Founded in 1923 and still sponsored today by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, Fontbonne is located in Clayton, MO., a well-maintained, beautiful suburb in the heart of the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Fontbonne's programs, faculty and campus attract students from across the U.S. and many other countries. Academic offerings include a wide array of bachelor's and master's degrees as well as several evening and online programs designed for busy adults.
Fontbonne faculty members are heavily focused on teaching, devoting their time to creating and delivering a curriculum that best serves their students. Faculty must meet high academic criteria; in fact, 75 percent of full-time faculty members hold the highest degree in their field.
Outside the classroom, experiential learning opportunities, which include an internship, practicum or student teaching, are incorporated into most academic programs, helping graduates move successfully into their chosen careers.
Learning the importance of existing in a global community is also an important part of the Fontbonne experience. Students have many opportunities to get involved in local community projects, as well as annual service trips to other states and countries.
At Fontbonne University, students not only learn more...they can be more.
