Tutoring Services

The Kinkel Center for Academic Resources offers tutoring in most academic subjects on the second floor of the Fontbonne University Library for Fontbonne University students. Assistance is available by appointment with:

Cathy Ahillen, MAT, Math Specialis

Sarah Aldridge, Business Specialist

Peggy Muldoon, MA , Writing/Commuication Specialist

Tutoring in other subjects is available by filling out a tutor request form. All tutoring is offered at no charge. Each Fontbonne University student can access two hours of tutoring per week per subject.

Writing assistance is available at writing@fontbonne.edu

Math assistance is available at math@fontbonne.edu

Academic Accommodations for Students with Disabilities

Fontbonne University offers services to students with documented physical, visual, hearing, learning or psychiatric disabilities, to the extent that it is able without suffering an undo hardship on the operation of the institution's programs.
Any Fontbonne student eligible for special services under the Americans with Disabilities Act may request accommodations if:
The student has self-identified that he or she has a disability and that he or she needs accommodation.
The student has provided appropriate and verifiable documentation of the disability.
The student has provided notification in a timely fashion.

Placement Testing

Fontbonne University uses the CompassACT test for placement purposes.

Computer software available in the Kinkel Center for Academic Resources:

• Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access)
• Foodprocessor
• Kurzweil Reader 3000
• Internet access
• Adobe Acrobat Reader
• Software required for Fontbonne courses may be loaded onto Kinkel Center computers with staff assistance.
