Through courses, applied practices and research, students will gain extensive knowledge and skills that can be applied in the classroom.

- EDU 529 Enhancing Student Achievement Through Positive Behavioral Supports
- EDU 530 Understanding Diverse Learners
- EDU 535 Technology Integration for Students with Special Needs
- EDU 566 Language and Literacy for Students at Risk
- EDU 586 Studies in Disability and Exceptionality
- EDU 587 Directed Readings in Education and Disability (1–3 credit hours)
- EDU 592 Assessment of Ability and Achievement
- EDU 595 Counseling Techniques
- EDU 596 Counseling and Collaboration with Diverse Populations
