Where am I?
Master of Arts in Teaching
Many professionals realize after college that their true calling is teaching. For those who hold degrees in areas outside of education, the Master of Arts in Teaching is the key to entering the career you want and obtaining the teaching certification you need.
All of our programs are approved through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Our program is structured to provide the knowledge, technical skill and confidence needed to become a self-directed, lifelong learner who can offer critical, reflective and creative energy to students, colleagues and schools.
Graduates of our program have gone on to have fulfilling careers as elementary, middle and high school teachers in public and private schools.
Fontbonne has a long history of educational excellence, and our program is well respected for its comprehensive approach. Our Center for Teacher and Therapist Education provides a collaborative setting for training professionals certified in education, special education, deaf education and speech-language pathology and serves as a unique model for the preparation of a new generation of teachers.
