- Setting up the reading/writing classroom
- Building background knowledge
- Supporting student discussions of books, short stories and articles
- Monitoring progress in reading comprehension
- Encouraging independent reading
- Selecting books and other reading materials
- Conferencing with readers
- Increasing deeper comprehension
- Engaging reluctant and resistant readers
RegistrationCost to Register: - $425 per person ($325 for Fontbonne students or alumni) (Lunches included)
- Additional Cost for Graduate Course – EDU 594-01
- $300 for three credit hours, $25.00 application fee (if first Fontbonne course)
- Undergraduates may attend the institute but will not earn graduate credit.
