Do you want to build your skills and knowledge in the area of taxation? Is your goal to become a tax professional? Are you a CPA interested in taking one of two courses so you can sharpen your tax knowledge or even obtain a certificate?

If the answer is yes to any of the above questions, Fontbonne University may be your answer. The master of science in taxation (MST) program is designed to meet the needs of the:

  • bachelor's graduate who wants to pursue a career in taxation
  • professional who wants to gain further knowledge in taxation
  • professional who wants to augment a business, accounting or legal career
  • person who wants to become more employable and promotable
  • CPA who wants to become a tax professional while satisfying a continuing education requirement

Graduate School Opportunities

This program is part of the department of business administration and offers candidates who are interested in taxation a number of avenues to achieve their goals. The MST is taught by practicing professionals and is very comprehensive. The curriculum maintains its currency as laws and policies change. Our program is designed to meet your needs through three options:

  • The master of science in taxation requires a total of 30 credit hours (21 required and 9 elective)
  • The graduate certificate in business taxation requires 15 credit hours (9 required and 6 elective)
  • The graduate certificate in individual taxation requires 15 credit hours (9 required and 6 elective)
