Many avenues
Our master of arts in teaching degree allows you to work toward a graduate degree, while completing coursework leading to teacher certification. You'll have options of pursuing middle school or high school certification in social studies, English, science, or mathematics. Certification for elementary education (1-6) and special education (K-12) is also available. Our programs are approved through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

Efficient and effective
From our initial course, the "Contemporary Classroom," to "Understanding Diverse Learners" to "The Instructional Process," this graduate degree prepares you to succeed in the challenging and gratifying world of the classroom teacher. The MAT is an extremely efficient and effective means of reaching your educational and career-oriented goals.
