Bachelor of Business Administration

Eckelkamp College of Global BusinessThe Fontbonne OPTIONS Bachelor of Business Administration program provides adults with a solid grounding in the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage organizational needs. Vital business topics are covered in a well-rounded and broad-based curriculum including management, marketing, accounting, law, finance, economics, and international business. Working professionals enhance their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills throughout the program.

The courses in the Bachelor of Business Administration constitute the student's business major. Completion of this major fulfills approximately one-third of the 128 credits required for graduation. All courses listed below are 3 credits / 8 weeks unless otherwise noted.

Concentrations for this major will be available Fall 2011 in management, finance and marketing.

* A prerequisite is required before starting this course, but not prior to beginning the OPTIONS BBA program.

Admission requirements:

  • Official transcripts must be received from each institution.
  • Completion of Composition I and II (grade of C- or better).
  • Successful completion of INT199 (or an equivalent college level course in research tools).
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4-point scale. (For students with fewer than 15 transfer college credits an official high school transcript is required with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or minimum GED score of 2350.)
  • Minimum age of 23 years.
  • Minimum two years of significant, full-time work experience.
  • Two letters of recommendation from professional references.
  • Applicants whose native language is not English must pass the TOEFL with a score of 173 CBT / 61 IBT / 5.0 IELTS or a Fontbonne-authorized equivalent test.
