Occasionally a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be selected in a process called Verification. In this process, Fontbonne University will be comparing the information that you submitted on your FAFSA with information from your Federal Tax Return. If you are selected, you will need to submit copies of your (as well as your spouses if you are married) Federal 1040 as well as W-2 forms. If differences are found between your tax documents and financial aid application, you or the school will need to make corrections.

If you are selected for verification, you will receive notification from the OPTIONS Financial Aid Office. We will provide you with a worksheet that must be submitted with your tax information.

Your financial aid will be delayed until the tax information and worksheet are returned.
