The Fontbonne OPTIONS Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies (BOS) program is designed for adults who wish to assume leadership and administrative roles within the organization. A variety of disciplines are integrated into the curriculum including management, psychology, communication, law, and human resources. Coursework focuses on the behavioral aspects of managing, motivating, and communicating to help working professionals become more effective at the workplace. Leadership and teamwork skills, as well as ethical issues facing today's manager, are reoccurring themes throughout the program.

Outside of class, learning continues with study teams that meet four hours weekly on group projects. Sharing talents, experiences and learning resources, students have a significant opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge than can be achieved through individual effort alone.

Students complete all courses in the 22-month BOS, which constitutes their business major. Completion of the BOS core fulfills approximately one-third of the 128 credits required for graduation.

* A prerequisite is required before starting this course, but not prior to beginning the OPTIONS BOS program.

Admission requirements:

• High school degree or GED certificate.
• Minimum of 30 transferable credits (college-level coursework) from accredited, degree-granting colleges or universities. Official transcripts must be received from each institution.
• Overall cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4-point scale.*
• Minimum age of 23 years.
• Minimum two years of significant, full-time work experience.
• Two letters of recommendation from professional references.

* GPA less than required minimum may be considered for admission, by submitting a written request for conditional admittance from the Admission Review Committee.
