Gateway

Designed as an introduction to higher education, OPTIONS Gateway is for those adults who aspire to earn a bachelor's degree but have little or no prior college credit. The curriculum delivers the liberal arts foundation for your degree, and serves as a stepping-stone directly into the OPTIONS Bachelor of Business Administration, OPTIONS Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies, OPTIONS Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Studies, OPTIONS Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication or OPTIONS Bachelor of Science in Sports & Entertainment Management programs, as well as other fields of study at Fontbonne. A carefully selected sequence of courses enables you to integrate knowledge from a variety of academic disciplines to develop the understanding and skills central to a thoughtful and committed life.

With the focus primarily on foundational courses, study teams do not meet in the Gateway curriculum as they do when you take the next step into a bachelor degree program.

OPTIONS Gateway can be completed in about 19 months, taking two courses at a time. The curriculum is divided into two parallel tracks. Each track consists of accelerated courses that meet the same night each week. So you'll take one course from each track and meet on the same two nights each week. If you enroll for one course at a time, you'll complete the courses in one track and then the other all on the same weeknight, but your completion time will double. Either way, you'll receive an individualized calendar of your class nights and breaks, allowing you to visualize your progress as you quickly move through the courses. You'll lock in your tuition rate and book fees for OPTIONS Gateway, providing added value and helping you plan your investment more effectively.
