NUNSENSE runs October 9-12 and October 16-19 with performances at 8pm Thursdays through Saturdays and 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10; Fontbonne Students and Faculty are free.
NUNSENSE is a musical comedy with book, music and lyrics by Dan Groggin. The setting is a gymnasium where the Little Sister of Hoboken are presenting a fundraiser to earn money to bury the remaining four sisters of their order who were accidentally poisoned by their cook,
Sister Julia, Child of God. Each of the sisters have special talents, and their entertainment includes star solos, puppetry, tap dancing and an audience quiz!
STEEL MAGNOLIAS runs March 18-22 with performances at 8pm on Wednesday through Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10; Fontbonne Students and Faculty are free.
STEEL MAGNOLIAS is a comedy-drama written by Robert Harling. The play is about the bond among a group of southern women. Truvy’s in-home beauty parlor is their gathering place. The story centers around Shelby’s wedding and the following three years, including the birth of her son. Shelby’s Type I diabetes presents complications. The reactions of her mother and her friends to the situations in the play provide humor and show the strength of their relationships.
All Fontbonne performances will be held in the Fine Arts Theatre located in the Fontbonne University Fine Arts Building on the second floor.
