Nigel B Darvell has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years and is an adjunct in the social work department at Fontbonne University where he teaches Counseling theories and Group Counseling courses.

In addition to teaching at Fontbonne University and McKendree University, he has a private practice specializing in addictions as well as family and couples counseling. He serves on several advisory boards and committes and conducts workshops and seminars throughout the country. He is a frequent contributor to channel 4 and 5 news in Saint Louis and was featured on the program Nightline with Ted Kopel.

In 2012, he was awarded "Outstanding Faculty of the Year" at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois.

He is completing a manuscript for publication on Anger and Agression related conditions, which is scheduled for publication in 2014.

He currently resides in Webster Groves, and he is a passionate Cardinals baseball fan.
