Coaching certificate

The certificate in coaching is for those students who want to develop a better understanding of the techniques and skills necessary to be a successful coach.

The following six courses (18 semester credit hours) are required for the certificate:

  • HES 119 Essential Concepts for Health and Fitness (3 hours)
  • SEM 360 First Aid for Athletic Training (3 hours)
  • SEM 370 Contemporary Issues in Sports (3 hours)
  • SEM 380 Sports Psychology (3 hours)
  • SEM 390 Sports Strength and Conditioning (3 hours)
  • SPT 200 Dynamics of Coaching (3 hours)
