The Department of Education/Special Education offers a Elementary Education (BA) (1-6) degree; a Middle School Education (BA) (5-9) degree with concentrations in English, social studies, mathematics and science; and a Special Education (BS) degree with certification in mild/moderate disabilities, cross-categorical (K-12) in a dual program which includes elementary certification.

All certification programs are accredited by the Teacher Education Section of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
