The major in Religious Studies offers students a strong liberal arts
education and a thorough grounding in the field of religion. Students
are encouraged to choose a particular area of concentration: Biblical,
Historical, or Morality/Spirituality; and to complement the major with
at least a minor in another discipline, e.g. human services, history,
literature, psychology, depending on their interests and future
career orientation. Some upper division courses are taken at Saint
Louis University.

the academic information section in this catalog. A course that meets a
general education requirement may also meet a course requirement in the
major or a course requirement in another discipline.

meeting general education requirements, may be required depending on
the student’s area of specialization and career orientation.
Baccalaureate Degree Requirements
The requirements for all undergraduate degrees are listed in the
academic policies and regulations section in this catalog. A student in
the religious studies major must have
achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
at the times of application for major approval and application for the
degree. Students must earn a minimum of C- in each course required in
the
major.
