This major focuses on the development of an inquiring mind through an understanding of the natural, social and aesthetic environments, as well as an interpretation of various environments. Under the category of natural environment and technology you may choose courses in computer science, mathematics, science and nutrition/health. A broad variety of courses in the social sciences, psychology, child/family studies, government and economics fulfill the social environment requirement. The aesthetic environment requirement is met by completing courses in aesthetics, art, literature, music and theater. Courses in various disciplines (primarily liberal arts oriented), such as oral/written communications, history, language, philosophy and religion, fulfill the interpretation of various environments category.
