At Fontbonne, students can earn a bachelor’s of science degree in either secondary education or applied mathematics. The first offers a balanced curriculum combining mathematical theory with practical application and classroom experience while preparing students for Missouri certification to teach high school mathematics. The second offers a sound foundation in both discrete and continuous mathematics as applied in business or the sciences.

Not only do you have the option to become a certified teacher with our secondary education program, we offer the opportunity to earn a dual degree in applied mathematics and engineering in just five years. Fontbonne has an agreement with Washington University in St. Louis that allows you to apply to the engineering school during your junior year. Students can earn a bachelor’s of science from Fontbonne and a bachelor’s in engineering from Washington University.
