Where am I?
Student Profile: Rebecca Andrews
Name: Rebecca Andrews
Program: Master of Business Administration
Rebecca Andrews, a senior account manager at a financial services company, had always intended to go back to school after graduating from Fontbonne University with her undergraduate degree in communication studies in 2000.
“When you have a full-time job and a family, sometimes it takes longer to get back to school than you originally intended,” she explained.
Then, Andrews came across the Evening and Online MBA at her alma mater. As an alumna, she knew Fontbonne would maintain a rigorous curriculum even with the more flexible format. She felt she had found the right program, and it was time to enroll.
“The professors ensure you understand the materials and master the concepts within the context of the real world,” she said. “I was able to apply some of the lessons to my job the day after class. And I now have the tools to think and problem solve at a higher level.”
Andrews graduated from the program in May of 2013. She feels that with her MBA she is a more valuable candidate for career advancement.
“I now have a more global view of the business world, which helps me do my job more effectively and efficiently,” she said. “You can do this with a full-time job and with kids. Take advantage of the multiple formats and the faculty and staff who are invested in your education. Fontbonne can help you reach your educational and career goals.”
