Transfer Scholarships

A+ Scholarships

...are awarded to students who have graduated from a Missouri A+ high school and have been a recipient of an A+ Scholarship from the state of Missouri. They must be pursuing their first undergraduate degree and have completed or will complete their AA, AAS, or AS from any public Missouri community college. Applicants must have a 3.0 or above cumulative GPA and must be enrolled as a full-time student at Fontbonne University.

Campus Service Awards

...are granted on the basis of demonstrated extracurricular or leadership activity in high school and college. Students must submit a complete list of accomplishments and activities. Applicants must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA and be enrolled as a full-time student at Fontbonne University.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships

...are awarded to students who are members of the two-year honor society Phi Theta Kappa and who have graduated from a community college with an AA, AAS, or AS degree. Applicants must have a 3.8 or above cumulative GPA and must be enrolled as a full-time student at Fontbonne University.

St. Louis Community College Scholarships

...are awarded to transfer students who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree and who have completed their AA, AAS or AS degree from Florissant Valley, Forest Park or Meramec community colleges. Applicants must have a 3.0 or above cumulative GPA and must be enrolled as a full-time student at Fontbonne University.

Illinois Community College Scholarships

...are awarded to transfer students who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree and who have completed their AA, AAS or AS degree from any Illinois community college.

Talent Scholarships

...depend upon the success in auditions, portfolio review, written essays orproven math/science academic record. The following scholarships are offered: Art/Theatre, English, Writing, and Math/Computer Science.

Transfer Scholarships

...are for students who have demonstrated academic success at a four-year or community college. Applicants must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and be enrolled as a full-time student at Fontbonne University.

Scholarships are awarded based on fund availability, so apply early. Scholarships are renewable with a cumulative of 2.5 or 3.0 GPA.
Students who show evidence of academic achievement, talent and leadership potential often merit scholarships which range from $500 to
$4,000 and up to full tuition for special scholarships. These scholarships and awards are not based on financial need and can be combined
with all other forms of financial aid available to you

We Value Your Experience

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) serves to validate the level of professional experience and competence that you’ve already achieved in the workforce. PLA credit may be earned as a result of professional or military training and experience. A maximum of 48 credit hours will be accepted in PLA credit. Students may not count this credit toward the 32-hour residency requirement at Fontbonne or the 44-hour OPTIONS core requirement. Fees charged for PLA credit are subject to change.

The standards and criteria established by Fontbonne for assessing college-level learning were developed in conformance with guidelines set forth by the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL).

Experience Credit

College credit can be awarded for military courses and enlisted ranks/military specialties or professional training courses sponsored by business, industry and government.

Portfolio Evaluation

If you think you’ve already acquired the competencies of college courses, you may petition for credit through a portfolio evaluation.
You may request a maximum of 32 credit hours through the portfolio process.
