Fontbonne Community Connection

FCC Upcoming Events

FCC Group update:

Who are we?

FCC web:

Fontbonne Community Connection is a giving circle composed of alumnae and friends of Fontbonne University.

How does it work?

Each member pledges to give $1,000 each fiscal year. All donations are deposited in a restricted fund. Faculty, staff, students and student organizations are invited to apply for grants from the FCC.

A committee reviews all applications and the full membership votes on distribution of the awards. Award recipients are required to make a short presentation at a full membership meeting about how they used their grant money. The amount of money available for distribution is dependent on the number of members and therefore varies each year.

All monies fund Fontbonne University initiatives.

Who can be a member?

Any woman who believes in the power of higher education and Fontbonne University’s ability to provide it to her students and is prepared to support that belief with a donation of at least $1,000 each fiscal year is welcome. This $1,000 donation can be made in one payment, in quarterly or monthly payments, in cash, stock or by credit card.

All members donating $1,000 or more will be recognized on the University Honor Roll.

FCC Mission Statement
The Fontbonne Community Connection aspires to promote Fontbonne University initiatives. We are committed to forging new relationships and building a community of thoughtful effective philanthropists among a diversified assembly of women.

FCC Statement of Purpose:
Because the FCC believes in the positive effect that higher education has on society, and because we believe Fontbonne University is educating students to serve a world in need, the FCC, a women’s giving circle, will focus on assisting faculty, staff, and students, as well as student organizations to reach higher and broader in their educational dreams.

The FCC will offer financial awards to faculty, staff or students to help them achieve goals, dreams and ideas that could otherwise not be met or pursued within a current budget.

While various University groups will ultimately benefit from the FCC, its members will also reap the satisfaction of making a noticeable difference in the lives of others.

The FCC furthers the University's commitment to:

Achieve academic and educational excellence

  • Promote dialogue among diverse communities
  • Demonstrate care and respect for each member of the community
  • Serve the larger community
  • Prepare individuals for ethical and responsible leadership in the community and larger world
  • Continue its long-standing tradition of developing women leaders
