Men's basketball returns tons of talent, experience
Oct. 16, 2008 - With basketball practice getting in full swing this week, we recently caught up with head men's basketball coach Lee McKinney to discuss the prospects of the 2008-09 team. Coach McKinney, who is entering his 21season at the helm of the Griffin basketball program, returns four starters from a team that advanced to the NCAA Div. - In recent years, the men’s basketball team has traveled to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Anaheim, Tampa, and Chicago.
- In August 2007, the team traveled to Europe to compete in Belgium, Netherlands and Germany.
- More than 50 SLIAC All-Conference selections since 1990.
