Mel Pinkley was originally hired as a softball coach at Fontbonne in 1993. Mel has spent several years as the Griffins head coach and as the assistant. In addition to his collegiate experience, Mel also has spent 12 years coaching high school softball and has coached an Amateur Softball Association summer team since 1982. Mel has been on the St. Louis Amateur Softball Association staff since 1993 and he currently serves as the Amateur Softball Association Commissioner.
