The Fontbonne University Speech and Language Clinic has been serving the St. Louis Community for over 40 years. The clinic is dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals with communication disorders. ReferralsReferrals from physicians, teachers, associated professionals and family members are welcome. All clinical services are provided under the supervision of faculty members holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and State Licensure in Speech Pathology from Missouri or Illinois. SchedulingTherapy is provided on a semester basis, September-December and January-April. A summer session is also available. Individual therapy is provided two days a week (Mon & Wed or Tues & Thurs) for one hour each day. The times usually run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This is one on one therapy with client and one clinician. Individual therapy is offered for all ages. Developmental Language Group (DLG)- This is a group of about 6-8 children ages 2-5. There are usually 4-5 clinicians who work within the group. The group runs in the Fall and Spring four mornings a week and in the summer two mornings a week for 2 hours each morning usually from 9-11 a.m.
