This professional identity is rooted in the values inherent in the overall Fontbonne experience, but specifically structured in teacher education programs to create a reflective decision maker, prepared to deal effectively with the hundreds of decisions necessary on a daily basis to assure the success of children and adolescents in public, private or parochial classrooms.

We take our role in this venture very seriously; no, more than seriously, we are passionate about our mission. The education of our youth is too important to allow for anything less than our full and unremitting commitment to the preparation of quality teachers. Our programs provide early and diverse experiences in schools, experiences which will challenge and prepare the teacher candidate for the variety of expectations placed upon teachers in contemporary classrooms.
