| I can't logon to my Blackboard account. What should I do? | Blackboard access is available approximately 24 hours after email activiation using the email username and password. Make sure you are using your last name and first initial (lower case, no spaces) as the username. Your username may have a number appended to insure uniqueness. If your username for your Fontbonne e-mail account included a number, then your Blackboard username will also include that same number. Your password is the same as that for your Fontbonne e-mail. If you have forgotten that password, see the "I forgot my password" question under the E-Mail section below. |

| I forgot my password. What can I do? | If you have forgotten your password for Fontbonne e-mail, go to OnRamp. Click "If you forgot your password, click here". Answer your secret question, and your password will be given to you. |
| Can I access my Fontbonne e-mail account from home? | Fontbonne e-mail accounts are available via the web. You can access your e-mail from anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection. Go to Student Email. You will be prompted for your username and password which are the ones you created using Fontbonne OnRamp. |
Equipment | |
| What equipment is available for student use on campus? | Ryan 307, Library Information Commons, Medaille Hall, St. Joseph Hall, and Southwest Hall are all available student use. Other labs in Ryan Hall are available for students to use when there are no classes scheduled. Availability can be checked by clicking schedules. |
| Do students have access to scanners in the computer labs? | There are scanners located the PC lab located in Ryan 303, 305, 307, and in the Internet Lab located in the lobby of the Library. There is no charge for using the scanners. |
| Is there somewhere on campus for color printing? | Yes, there is a color laser available in Ryan 307. There may be a minimal fee. |

| How do I get a lab username and password? | Lab logons have been eliminated. If a logon screen is showing, restart computer (Ctrl/Alt/Del, Shutdown, Restart). Computers will be re-imaged on a regular basis. Since there are no logons, files saved to the desktop or hard drive will be deleted whenever computers are re-imaged or restarted. VIP: Save files to Student File Manager, floppy disk, CD, USB drives and/or email them to yourself or upload them to your Blackboard dropbox. | If I have computer problems on campus, who do I contact? | In Information Commons in the Library - contact Library personnel. In other labs across campus - You may contact Information Technology by sending an e-mail to askit@fontbonne.edu. Your request will receive a response by the end of the next working day. You may also contact Information Technology by telephone. Call 719-8095 to report any issues. |

| When it comes time for me to register for classes via the web where can I go on campus? | Registration for courses is completed via Student Information Management from anywhere Internet access is available. You may also use any student accessible computer on campus (i.e., Information Commons in the Library, Kinkel Study, Ryan Labs, or any PCs located in the labs in the dorms (St. Joe, Medaille and Fine Arts). NOTE: You username is your student ID number and the password is your home zipcode of record. |

| What resources are available for Internet access and e-mail on campus? | Internet access is available on computers located in any Fontbonne campus lab (i.e., Ryan Hall, Library Information Commons, Medaille Hall, St. Joseph Hall, and Fine Arts). Wireless access is available if you have your own laptop computer in the Cafeteria, Cafe, Medaille Hall, St. Joseph Hall, Fine Arts, Library, and in the Meadow and the Quad. See Wireless section for more information. |
| Can I access my personal files I saved in the lab from home or my dorm room? | Students can access their personal files as well as the files in the publc folder by accessing Student File Manager and entering the same username/password used for Fontbonne e-mail. Students will be able to download or upload files to their personal folder, but only download files from the public folder. Directions can be found under instructional downloads for students. |
Wireless | |
| I have my own computer. Can I access the web from my dorm room? | Fontbonne University is a wireless campus for student access. You will need: A working 802.11g wireless card installed on your computer, current antivirus software installed and up to date, and all Windows updates installed and current. Directions can be found under instructional downloads for students. There is no charge for this service which will give you access to the web via our network connection, thus freeing up your telephone line. The access speed will be similar to what you experience in the labs. |
| I have a wireless card in my laptop. Where can I use it on campus and have connectivity? | Once you have completed the wireless process mentioned above, you can access the "web" from any campus residence hall, the library, the quad, the meadow, the cafeteria, the Science Building, and the DSAC. |
