Faculty Members Receive Teaching Awards

Members of Fontbonne University's faculty recently received awards for excellence in teaching.

Rebecca D. Foushée, of Edwardsville, received the 2006 Joan Goostree Stevens Excellence in Teaching Award at Fontbonne University. Foushée is assistant professor of psychology at Fontbonne, where she has worked since 2003.

Avril Moore, of Creve Coeur, is the first recipient of Fontbonne University's new Excellence in Teaching Award for part-time instructors. Moore is a senior lecturer in education/special education at Fontbonne.

Beth Newton, professor and chair of the mathematics and computer science department at Fontbonne University, was recognized for excellence in mathematics teaching by the Mathematics Educators of Greater St. Louis (MEGSL). She resides in University City.
