OPTIONS Consolidates North County Sites into One New Location
Fontbonne University OPTIONS students at the university's three North County sites will now attend classes in a new, consolidated facility in Florissant.
The larger space was established to better serve OPTIONS students after the program grew by 450 percent in the North County area. The approximately 10,000 sq. ft. facility includes eight contemporary state-of-the-art classrooms and boasts ample administrative space.
"It's just been phenomenal," says Jerry Bladdick, associate vice president for adult and continuing education at Fontbonne. "We started with two classrooms at the James J. Eagan Center and quickly expanded beyond that into a second, and then a third site. With that kind of growth, we knew it was time to make the move."
Since the first OPTIONS group started in North County in 2003, the program has started more than 20 groups of undergraduate students - just under 340 students. The first MBA group starts at the new site later this month.
Fontbonne OPTIONS caters to busy adults by offering on-site book delivery, preplanned curriculums, one-time registration, same-night-a-week classes and locked-in tuition. Plus, MBA students are provided a laptop computer used as an academic and management tool they may keep upon completion of the program.
With its main campus located in Clayton, Fontbonne University also has OPTIONS classroom sites in South County, Chesterfield and downtown St. Louis. Most OPTIONS courses run five to eight weeks and degree programs are sequenced to be completed in approximately two or less years.
