ST. LOUIS - Kurt Warner, former St. Louis Rams quarterback, and his wife, Brenda, will discuss their new book, "First Things First," during the July Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club. The book club will take place Monday, July 6, from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Missouri Athletic Club, 405 Washington Ave. in downtown St. Louis.
The event is free, but reservations are required. Call 314-444-1827 or e-mail email@example.com, leave a name and phone number and reference the "July" book club to reserve a spot today.
Warner began his professional football career with the Green Bay Packers, eventually moving on to play with the St. Louis Rams from 1998 - 2003, leading St. Louis to two Super Bowl appearances and winning one. Warner currently plays for the Arizona Cardinals, a team that was runner-up in the Super Bowl last year. He and Brenda, a former Marine, have seven children and began their foundation - also called First Things First - to promote Christian values and reach out to the community. The book describes their family story. Warner will be on hand to sign copies of the new book at the book club event, but will not be signing memorabilia.
