Sophomore forward has record setting day; team earns #4 seed

Nov. 2, 2009 - Fontbonne University sophomore forward Kendra Schilli had a record setting performance Saturday as the Griffins women's soccer team knocked off Eureka College 11-2. Fontbonne improved to 7-11 overall and 5-3 in the SLIAC.

Schilli recorded three goals and six assists in the match to break the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC)  record for most assists in a game. Schilli tied the SLIAC record (12) for most points in a game. Schilli now also holds Fontbonne records for most assists (6) and most points (12) in a game. Schilli leads the team with 12 goals and 13 assists for 37 points on the season.

Schilli effort's helped Fontbonne earn a spot in the upcoming SLIAC Tournament. The Griffins will be the tournament's #4 seed and will play #1 seed Principia College Thursday at 7:00 pm in Elsah, Illinois. This is the second straight year the women's soccer team has advanced to the SLIAC Tournament.
