Fontbonne/KMOX Book Club Examines the Life of Eisenhower

 
ST. LOUIS – The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club will host David Eisenhower, Pulitzer Prize winning historian and author of “Going Home to Glory: A Memoir of Life with Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1961-1969,” at its next book club event. The event will take place Friday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the main reading room of the St. Louis County Library, 1640 S. Lindbergh, St. Louis 63131.

Written by his only grandson, this warm and intimate account of the former president's retirement gives readers a unique look into the life of Ike. Based on personal stories, letters, diaries, and the reminiscences of Eisenhower's closest friends, “Going Home to Glory,” is an intimate chronicle of the elder statesman's final years. David Eisenhower is also the author of “Eisenhower: At War,” a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
