June Book Club Examines Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

ST. LOUIS – The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club will host Greg Myre and Jennifer Griffin, journalists and co-authors of “This Burning Land: Lessons from the Front Lines of the Transformed Israeli-Palestinian Conflict,” at its next book club event. The event will take place Monday, June 13, at 9 a.m. at the Jewish Community Center’s Staenberg Family Complex Arts & Education Building, #2 Millstone Campus Dr., St. Louis, 63146.

The event is free, but reservations are required. Call 314-444-1827 or e-mail, leave a name, phone number, the number of people in your party, and a reference to the “June” book club to reserve a spot today.

Myre is a senior editor with National Public Radio and the former Jerusalem bureau chief for the New York Times. Jennifer Griffin is the Pentagon correspondent for Fox News. In 1999, the couple moved to Jerusalem where they reported on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for nearly eight years, starting and raising their family during this time. The book identifies a fundamental paradox within the enduring and unresolved conflict, but also details the couple’s first-hand experiences in the Middle East.
