Association of Colleges of the Sisters of St. Joseph Congregates on Campus

ST. LOUIS — Fontbonne University will join with the Sisters of St. Joseph to celebrate the order’s 175th anniversary in the United States, as CSJs and higher education professionals from around the country gather on Fontbonne’s campus for the biannual Association of Colleges of the Sisters of St. Joseph (ACSSJ) National Meeting, June 8 – 10. Participating schools include Avila University in Kansas City, Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Elms College in Chicopee, MA, among others. The conference will explore the history and heritage of the Sisters of St. Joseph and provide participants with new information and the opportunity to network with colleagues.

In addition to sessions on heritage, discussions about mission integration, and a tour of the CSJ Motherhouse, participants will gather at Wydown House with Dr. and Mrs. Dennis Golden for cocktails and dinner the first night of the conference. Dr. Patricia Byrne, a Sister of St. Joseph of Baden who is currently writing a history of the Sisters of St. Joseph in the United States, served as the keynote speaker.
