The year-end “best of” lists are popping up in publications
everywhere. Mustard Seed Theatre, Fontbonne University’s Theatre in Residence, as
well as key theatre personnel, have found themselves on many of these local
lists. The high-praise is a direct reflection of the outstanding talent and
high quality of Fonbonne’s theatre program, as well as Theatre Director and
Mustard Seed Artistic Director Deanna Jent, who found herself named “St. Louis
Theatre Artist of the Year” by St. Louis Post-Dispatch critic Judith Newmark.
“As I read the article, I was thrilled to see that Lori Adams received a ‘Judy’ for Best Director for my play ‘Falling,’” Jent said. “I was surprised when I got to the end and saw the St. Louis Theatre Artist of the Year. It was thrilling!”
