Blinder, the former vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board and former member of President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisors, offers an authoritative account of the why, how and what of the global financial crisis. He provides a narrative of how the worst economic crisis in postwar American history happened, what the government did to fight it and what we can do from here.
