“Gary and his wife Patricia have always been loyal and dedicated friends of Fontbonne,” said Dr. Dennis Golden, Fontbonne president. “As a seasoned business professional, Gary will bring entrepreneurial zeal and executive leadership to the university. His wise counsel and commitment to our mission are deeply appreciated.”
Prior to his position at Bank of America, Krosch was president and owner of Colonel Day’s Inc., a business that included 55 specialty retail stores in Missouri, Illinois and Michigan. He is an active member of the St. Louis and Clayton communities, having served as a founding board member of Forest Park Forever and the Clayton Century Foundation. Additionally, he is or has been a member of the Forest Park Advisory Board, Greater Boy Scouts of America Council in St. Louis, the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and the St. Louis Track Club, among other organizations.
“Fontbonne University has a tradition of significantly impacting higher education in the St. Louis community,” said Krosch. “I am humbled and privileged to accept this assignment.”
Fontbonne also welcomes Carol J. Voss as a new member of the board of trustees. Voss, an alumna of the university, holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature and secondary education and previously taught language arts at Bayless High School and St. Joseph Academy in St. Louis and Newark Senior High School in Newark, Ohio. She will lend her expertise as a member of the board’s committees on institutional advancement and academic and student affairs.
Currently, Voss devotes much of her time to part-time teaching and volunteering in the St. Louis community. She served as co-chair for numerous charitable events in 2012 and is assisting with the planning of events in 2013 that include The Arts and Education Council St. Louis Awards Dinner, Doorways: Interfaith AIDS Housing and Services Project RED “Top Hat Gala,” Gateway 180: Homelessness Reversed “Open Your Heart for the Homeless” Gala, and the St. Louis NAACP Centennial Gala.
“Since I am an alumna of Fontbonne, I am especially honored to be able to assist the university, and I enthusiastically look forward to working with the board and multiple university constituents,” said Voss.
