Tibetan Monks to Give Special Presentation on Campus

Faculty, staff and students are invited to a unique presentation Tuesday, Aug. 27, from 6 - 8 p.m. The Drepung Gomang Monastery Monks, a branch of Buddhist monks representing the Dalai Lama's school of Tibetan Buddhism, will present sacred music, chants and dharma talk in the Lewis Room of Fontbonne's Taylor Library. A question and answer session will follow. The monks, in St. Louis for the Festival of Nations, will spend just over a week in the area.

This even is sponsored by Fontbonne University and the department of history, philosophy and religion, and is free, although any donations go directly to the Drepung Gomang Monastery.
