The Midwest Education Technology Conference (METC) Planning and Advisory Committee recently recognized Fontbonne University Master of Science in Computer Education (now Learning Technologies) alumna Christine Ruder, ’10, as a 2014 Midwest Spotlight Educator. The METC gives this recognition to education leaders in the region who have superbly integrated technology in their curriculum to enhance their students’ education.
According to her biography on the METC website, Ruder is a third grade teacher at Harry S. Truman Elementary School in the Rolla Public School District and is passionate about enhancing her students’ education with technology. From digital photography to blogging and basic code, Ruder ensures that her students know how to use technology to help them become thinkers who can apply their knowledge in the real world.
