Annie Gunn’s Chef Shares Favorite Recipes at Book Club
ST. LOUIS - The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club welcomes Lou Rook, III, chef at Annie Gunn’s Restaurant and author of “Rook Cooks: Simplicity at its Finest,” at its next book club event. The event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 30, 10 a.m., at the Alumni St. Louis Restaurant, 200 North 13th Street, 63103.

Lou Rook has been the chef at Annie Gunn’s in Chesterfield for more than 20 years. He and the restaurant have received a number of awards for the high-quality, farm-fresh dining experience. Rook was nominated for a James Beard award for Best Chef in the Midwest and was featured on Food Network’s, “Taste of the Nation.” In his book, “Rook Cooks,” Rook offers 120 accessible recipes for every taste and skill level along with suggestions for Missouri wine pairings.
