Graduate Education Concentration Serves Students with Autism
One in 68 children has an autism spectrum disorder — a 30 percent increase from two years ago, according to a recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study.
April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, an excellent opportunity to inform and educate the world community about autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and to encourage early diagnosis and intervention.
Fontbonne University is at the forefront of this movement through its concentration in autism spectrum disorders in the Master’s of Arts in Education program. In this comprehensive program, educators and professionals from a variety of backgrounds learn to work with and educate children along all stages of the spectrum, as well as their families. A certificate of completion is also available.
