The Wentzville School District is accepting applications for the position of Principal of the third high school in the District, opening in August for the 2013-2014 school year. The four year comprehensive high school will open the first year with only freshmen, the second year it will have freshmen and sophomores, and the first graduating class from the new high school will be the class of 2017. The 227,000 square foot facility is on an 80 acre site located on Sommers Road in the City of O’Fallon in St. Charles County.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
· Student centered philosophy
· Experience in implementing high school-level programs to improve student achievement
· Strong instructional leadership skills including the ability to supervise and evaluate certified staff
· Ability to facilitate a positive learning and teaching environment
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Understanding of curricular standards and assessments in the State of Missouri
· Masters degree or beyond with secondary principal certificate or eligibility to obtain in the State of Missouri
· Missouri Teaching Certification Grades 9-12
· Successful school administration and supervision experience
