St. Louis Area Foodbank (SLAFB) JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Website and Design Coordinator Immediate Supervisor: Communications Manager or Management designee Employees Supervised: None FLSA: Non-Exempt General Description/Position Summary Position is responsible for updating and enhancing the Foodbank’s web presence, designing materials that create a positive image of the Foodbank in the community, while providing support for other departments with a particular emphasis on the Communications department. Duties and Responsibilities: Website oResponsible for the day-to-day updating and maintenance of www.stlfoodbank.org. oDesigning of graphics and editing of images to be used on the homepage and interior pages. oPosting of blog posts every Wednesday and Friday or as designated. oUpdating of online event calendar. oPosting of media clips and press releases. Design collateral materials and internal signage oDesign original marketing materials including posters and web graphics for designated Foodbank events including: Wine Women & Shoes, Hunger Is No Laughing Matter and various food drives. oDevelop signage and collateral materials for various departments within the organization as needed. oAssist Communications Manager with collateral materials including brochures, fact sheets and other designated projects. Photography and Video Editing oServes as Foodbank photographer/videographer when designated. oEdit short videos to be used for blog posts and marketing materials. Event Staffing oAssists various Foodbank personnel with Foodbank events such as, but not limited to: Wine Women & Shoes, Stamp Out Hunger, Hunger Is No Laughing Matter, Taste of the NFL, and Scouting for Food. Social Media oAct as a backup to the Communications Coordinator in making posts on behalf of the Foodbank on various social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook and Twitter when designated. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in web development, graphic design or communications. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in reading and writing HTML code. Must be proficient with the Adobe Design Suite including: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with the following software: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Familiar with various forms of social media and how to use them to increase brand awareness, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Foursquare. Photography skills are a plus. Video shooting and editing skills are a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and attitude. Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check. This job description does not list all the duties of the job. Performance of other duties may be requested.
