Boys Hope Girls Hope is recruiting for immediate and future openings for our yearlong National Volunteer and AmeriCorps Programs. Boys Hope Girls Hope helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college.

We have two opportunities for members to serve:�

Academic Success Corps: The ASC is a full-time, live-in position that offers a unique opportunity to become part of a family-like home, and to develop positive relationships that impact the development of young people. Members serve as part of a team of volunteers and professionals living and working in our homes to create a family-like atmosphere, and to develop the positive, committed relationships that will allow Members to have a significant influence on the development of scholars. �The Members primary focus is on the academic support of scholars and on their involvement in community service activities. Travel to and from the service location, training, health insurance, room and board, and a bi-weekly stipend are provided. ��Members who participate in the AmeriCorps Education Award program are eligible for loan forbearance and a $5,550 Education Award after successful completion of 1,700 hours and 12 months of service.�Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and a Bachelors Degree is preferred. �Must submit to a driving and criminal record check.
Community Resources Coordinator: �The CRC is a full-operating AmeriCorps position based in our Affiliate offices, and is a key staff member for the Links Community Networking and Mentorship Project. The CRC assists the Boys Hope Girls Hope affiliate in its efforts to connect in meaningful and sustained ways with the community in order to give scholars access to a variety of resources that help them reach their full potential. CRC’s recruit, train and support tutors, mentors and other volunteers to further the goals of Boys Hope Girls Hope.� Benefits for full-time members include an annual living allowance of $12,100 (paid biweekly over the year of service), health insurance, loan forbearance on qualifying student loans and an education award of $5, 550 upon successful completion of service (1,700 hours).
