Journalism Internship

TriLeaf Designs Journalism Intern will work directly with TriLeaf's Owner Rachel Boone while collaborating with designers, marketing, web programmers. With the guidance of Ms. Boone the Journalism Intern will start off helping with TriLeaf Design blogs. The intern will gain experience interviewing companies, writing blogs, copywriting for marketing material publications and websites, reporting on events, showcasing non-profit organizations and clients, and writing press releases. This is not a typical journalism internship; traditional news stories will not be written or published. Job will include completing research, coming up with own content ideas, copy writing, editing, and posting. If intern excels, they may take on other tasks. Ms. Boone will provide guidance while increasing the interns' resume and portfolio.

Student or recent graduate in journalism program is preferred, but will make an exception for a great resume and work ethic. Journalism Intern must be willing to follow direction, is a good salesperson, upbeat personality, able to do research and to explain their findings, a self-starter, hard worker, focused, team player, good communicator, organized, and highly motivated. Must have knowledge of AP Style and editing practices. Must have interest in electronic journalism. TriLeaf is a quickly growing company that is consistently working. There will be no down time and the desired intern must be someone who likes to get things done. Being an amazing proofreader is a plus. Must present a resume. Will be looking more at potential of applicant and work ethic than their resume. Must have a PC or Mac laptop.
